10 Day Bush Outreach!

Hey all,

Just had a great time on 10 Day Bush Outreach. As you would expect, the blind saw, the deaf heard, and many received Jesus as Lord & Saviour.

Some potential highlights?!

– Crowd Surfing on Mozambican Kids (See below!! :)),
– Seeing a young guy get his hearing back after prayer a couple days ago (prayed for him where we were camping, and then later on he brought a young girl – also deaf, to get prayer – and God healed her too!! He is so good!! :)).
– Spending time with the team, and really getting to know them personally!!

I think that one of the definitive highlights for me, was spending time with, the Harvest School students!! It was great fun, and they really are a great bunch of people who are going to change the world for Jesus!!

Thank-you so much for praying!! He definitely went before us, and I think it was only his Grace that made it so chill, fun, fire-filled brilliance! Loved it!

Heading to South Africa in two weeks, where I’ll be having a break before leading an outreach in the Breede Valley at a farm owned by a beautiful couple who staffed the first five weeks of this school!

Am looking forward to chillaxing at the beach, playing guitar, and perhaps even reading some books before then!! Yes!! πŸ™‚

Love you all lots.

Simon

  1. What a wonderful God we serve! Be strengthened dear Simon, through and through an through. Totally pumped at this opportunity you have to get so immersed in the work of the Father, ministering to the very ones Jesus Himself ministered when He walked the earth. In Liberation Theology the phrase, ‘preferential option for the poor’ focuses on how God in His word and through THE WORD demonstrated that His heart was for the marginalised, the poor, the rejected, the needy, the despised, the powerless.
In Luke 4, Jesus declared and defined His ministry from the words of Isaiah 61 and 58, Dear Simon Father has you participating in this very work.
β€œThe Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
    to set the oppressed free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[a]

I pray you have heaps of quiet moments with Father as did Jesus, to completely bare your heart and soul before Him, to be fed and refreshed, built up and to grow. I believe that stepping out as you have has an exponential effect. His tide cannot be contained and will sweep over the world.

    be blessed dear friend.

    • Yes!! πŸ™‚ Thanks so much for the encouragement Saro!! Is totally a blessing being here!! πŸ™‚

      Simon
