Rich & Poor

Hanging out with Ryan Dekanah yesterday, and posed with the question of rich and poor.

And here’s my thoughts:

True happiness is found in a relationship with Jesus, irrespective of your financial position.

God is more interested with the motives of your heart, than how much you can give away.

It’s like that scripture that says that even if I give my body to be burned, and have not love, I am as a clanging cymbal (Ie useless).

So the key is to know that you are loved by Jesus, and to ask Him to break your heart for what breaks His!!

And He probably will!!

Exciting ay!! 🙂

Praise Points:
Just a couple wonderful days working on skit for class; hanging out with good friends; eating good food, and just loving being here!

Prayer Points:
See above!! 🙂

  1. Hey Siimon,
My thoughts on wealth – it is a responsibility that I believe few are able to handle, like any talent or gifting God blesses His people with. None of these are meant simply for us to get ‘fat’ on. We are no endowed with them so that we can be put on a pedestal and ‘worshipped’. We have not received these things because we are special. we have been given them so that through them we serve others. Any gifting, talent, advantage we have in life including wealth is meant to bless others and in this way we bless and honour and love God. Jesus equates loving people with loving God.
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”Matt 22;36-40

Has been mega challenging to look at those who literally have nothing, and to really seek God for His hearts response…!! 🙂
